Macro, Mood and Aesthetic Concepts

Macro Concept:
- Inspired by the Wellington botanical gardens
- The contrast between the structure of trees, roots and leaves vs. the softness and beauty of the flowers
- Show the beauty of the flowers which emerge among the majority of hard, tough, crisp leaves, roots etc that are found in the botanical gardens (Beauty among the thorns kind of thing)
- Incorporation of both elements in the same collection/garments

Mood Concept:
- Must reflect the contrast between the two elements
- Not too literal in terms garments being inspired by flowers etc
- More structured/tailored pieces for the majority with small amounts of softness coming through to represent flowers emerging from roots, leaves etc

Aesthetic Concept:
- Colours = mostly different shades of browns, with black and greys incorporated maybe? but with splashes of bright colour coming through
- Tailoring = trousers, jackets; Knit and Jersey for texture maybe?; Softness= tops and skirts for underneath the tailoring to show concept of beauty emerging  from hardness of structure
